Carla obtained her MS in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counselling from the Illinois Institute of Technology in 2016. After three years working in community mental health settings with individuals with serious mental illness, Carla returned to the Illinois Institute of Technology where she is a Clinical Research Associate with the Chicago Health Disparities Center while pursuing a PhD in Rehabilitation Counseling Education.
