Originally from South Africa, I moved to the UK for my DPhil in Systems Biology at the Department of Biochemistry, Oxford University. I thoroughly enjoyed laboratory research, but the writing and talking about science that went along with it was my favourite part of the process. After my DPhil, I worked as an academic copyeditor. I am now the research coordinator at the Centre for Statistics in Medicine, Oxford University, where I provide writing, editing, and administrative support to the CSM team, and communicate the fantastic work done by the Centre to the world. I also work for the EQUATOR Network, promoting the use of reporting guidelines in health research for usable, transparent, reproducible papers.
