Ivar is the lead Sustainability of Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. He is responsible for the implementation of the Sustainability strategy of the university and leads on a wide range of projects that aim to integrate sustainability in Education, Research, Knowledge Transfer, Operations and the Community. Ivar has a double MSc in Social Psychology and Environmental and Resource Management. He coordinates an Honours course on Climate Leadership and teaches several other classes. He is currently a part-time PhD Candidate at the Institute for Environmental Studies. Ivar's interest centres on transforming Universities for sustainability, as they play a vital role in shaping a more sustainable world.
