Bryony is a researcher working in health and social care workforce mental health, at the University of East Anglia as part of the NIHR Applied Research Collaboration East of England. She is working on projects to support staff mental health, including suicide prevention and postvention interventions in the Ambulance Sector. During Covid-19, Bryony led a systematic review to understand the impact of providing end-of-life care on the mental health and wellbeing of staff during pandemics. She also works closely with community organisations that support wellbeing. Bryony is leading on some work to understand more about the impact that Men’s Sheds have on mental health, wellbeing, and loneliness, as well as the impact of Social Prescribing. Prior to this, she worked on the UEA Courage Project, supporting the prevention, intervention, and cultural change around Postgraduate Researcher mental health. Bryony has completed a PhD, researching the impact of multiple medication use in people with dementia (2015-2019). Her interests include health and social care workforce mental health, workplace mental health e.g., interventions, student mental health, community-based mental health projects e.g., voluntary organisations and social prescribing.
