Wezi Mhango is a lecturer in Psychology at the University of Malawi and currently a doctoral researcher in the School of Psychology at the University of Sussex. She obtained her Bachelor of Social Science (Psychology) Degree with credit from the University of Malawi and her MSc in Clinical and Health Psychology with distinction from Bangor University. Her research interests are in the areas of child and adolescent mental health, maternal mental health and intervention development, especially in low- and middle-income countries. For her PhD, Wezi seeks to develop a low intensity intervention for perinatal depression and anxiety among adolescent mothers in Malawi. Her PhD is funded by the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission.
