(Merry Xmas) Face The Future: support your Mental Elf with the BEAK Xmas song!

As we all know, Christmas records are ten a penny, but every decade or so a piece of Christmas music comes along that sends the elves into a state of rapture. The Great Elf Mother was recently moved to tears by Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings “Ain’t No Chimneys In The Projects” and it takes a lot to make her blubber.

So imagine our joy and festive cheer when we were contacted by musician and producer Geoff Barrow (the founder of Invada Records and Portishead) a few days ago, to say that he and his chums in Bristol band BEAK had decided to donate all money raised by their Xmas single to the National Elf Service and The Mental Elf.

It is truly lovely to hear from people who we’ve helped through our woodland activities; bringing important mental health research to the masses, but it’s especially lovely when a musician who the elves have cherished for over a quarter of a century, recognises and supports our contribution to mental health and wellbeing. Thanks Geoff!

Buy the Beak Xmas song now! Or even better, send it as a Christmas gift to someone who you truly dote on.
