Divyangana Rakesh is currently pursuing her PhD under the supervision of A/Prof. Sarah Whittle at Melbourne Neuropsychiatry Centre, University of Melbourne (Australia). The focus of her PhD is on studying the association between the environment, adolescent neurodevelopment, and mental health. Recently, she has been examining the link between environmental adversity, such as childhood maltreatment and socioeconomic disadvantage, and brain structure and function in youth. Previously, she completed a Masters by Research in Neuroscience at University of Bordeaux (France).
