Gloria is Assistant Professor at the Department of Social Work and Social Administration, The University of Hong Kong. She was trained in Philosophy and Psychology, and received her PhD in Psychiatry in 2010. Her research focuses on mental health care service and policy, covering the areas of severe mental illness, neurocognitive disorders, and preventive mental health in youths and in older people. She currently leads several mental health policy and service implementation research projects in Hong Kong, including a dementia policy research project Tools to Inform Policy: Chinese communities’ Action in Response to Dementia (TIP-CARD, www.tip-card.hku.hk/, a project supported by the Hong Kong Research Grants Council and associated with the UKRI project Strengthening responses to dementia in developing countries, STRiDE www.stride-dementia.org), and co-leads the Jockey Club Holistic Support Project for Elderly Mental Wellness (JC JoyAge) and Jockey Club Youth Mental Wellness Hub Project (LevelMind@JC), two pragmatic studies investigating new collaborative care models for community-based preventive mental health. She is part of the Editorial Team at Aging and Mental Health and Journal of Long-Term Care.
