Psychosocial and developmental alcohol misuse prevention in schools can be effective

Meta analysis finds prevalence of intellectual disability higher in low and middle income group countries.

This meta analysis collated data from published literature between 1980 and 2009 to estimate the prevalence of intellectual disability across all such studies. The authors state the prevalence of intellectual disability across all 52 studies included was 10.37/1000 population. Systematic review finds much higher rates of chronic health conditions in children with learning disabilities than in general population

This systematic review of prevalence rates of chronic health conditions in children with intellectual disability found 2,994 relevant studies published between 1996 to 2008. 31 studies were included that the authors felt had sufficient methodological quality. A birth cohort study carried out by researchers in Finland has discovered a predictive association between being a bully in childhood and becoming a mother in adolescence.
