This overview of systematic reviews of evidence for the prevention of enamel demineralization during fixed appliance orthodontic treatment included 29 reviews. Most of the reviews were considered to have methodological issues with the findings suggesting that professional fluorides, sealants, reminders, and lasers might be useful interventions to prevent enamel demineralization.

The reviews considered 22 differing risk factors but only 4 of the reviews were assessed to be of moderate quality the remainder being considered to be of low (11) or critically low (4)quality.

15 systematic reviews were included in this review of teh treament and management of medication-related osteonecrosis of the jaw (MRONJ). The reviews only identified weak evidence to support treatment protocols for MRONJ so high quality well reported RCTs are needed.
