Dr Kevin Stone is the Associate Head of Department for Law at UWE, Bristol with responsibility for joint-awards and the Graduate Diploma in Law, and is a sitting Magistrate within the south west. He has been teaching health and social care law for the last eight years within the university and to its partners. Dr Stone is an active researcher in the field of mental health law and health and social care practice and as an author has published widely. Dr Stone is a student centered and a practice-facing academic holding a Senior Fellowship with the HEA. He is able to relate and apply the law to real life scenarios as he draws on his experience of over 20 years of experience working in the voluntary and statutory health and social care sector.
