This review of the prevalence of orofacial injuries in patients with cerebral palsy (CP) included 12 studies. Ten studies were included in a meta-analysis which estimates the assess the prevalence of orofacial injuries in patients with CP at 34% (95%CI; 18 – 25%).

This review of assess the incidence of different types of root resorption after concussion, subluxation, lateral luxation, intrusive luxation, and extrusive luxation included 14 observational studies. Findings suggest that resorption is most common following intrusive luxation.

The studies were all considered to be at high risk of bias and suggested that spontaneous re-eruption should be the treatment of choice.
