Yi is currently a Master’s student in Mental Health Studies at King’s College London, after completing a BSc in psychology at the University of Edinburgh. Alongside her studies, she works as a student research assistant in the Brain Health Clinic, supporting research on mild cognitive impairment in older adults and mental health challenges in ethnically minoritised communities. She also supports research focusing on predicting clinical high risk for psychosis and applying quantitative modelling approaches in at-risk populations. Yi’s particularly interested in how cognitive mechanisms contribute to psychiatric disorders in vulnerable groups, especially in conditions such as depression and psychosis. Yi is interested to blog on the topics of anxiety, depression, neurodevelopmental disorders (i.e., autism spectrum disorder), psychotherapies, public and primary healthcare, as well as CBT, NHS Talking Therapies & IAPT.
