I am a postgraduate student in Global Mental Health at the University of Glasgow. My undergraduate major was Applied Psychology, during which I learned some skills in clinical psychological counselling. My research interests lie in the treatment of depression and anxiety, especially in the background of low- and middle-income countries. Additionally, I am also interested in culturally adapted intervention measures. Among them, I have a little knowledge of the research field of cognitive behavioural therapy, which is widely applied.

Social determinants such as early life adversity, socioeconomic disadvantage and ethnoracial discrimination all contribute to the development of mental ill health, with marginalised and minoritised communities being impacted the most.
