I am an Assistant Professor in Psychiatry and the founding director of Global Institute of Human Development, Shifa Tameer-e-Millat University, Pakistan ( My interest in academic psychiatry and Global Mental Health research was kindled by witnessing the inequity in the provision of evidence based mental health care in Low- and Middle-Income Countries (LMICs).
