I am an Academic Clinical Fellow in Psychiatry at the University of Bristol, working with the Bristol Suicide and Self-Harm (SASH) group. My current research focuses on understanding how protective factors - such as social support and coping mechanisms - influence self-harm thoughts and behaviours, particularly in the context of childhood adversity. Alongside my academic work, I am a Resident Doctor in Avon & Wiltshire Partnership NHS Trust. I am particularly interested in childhood mental health outcomes. My previous research has explored the inflammatory pathways linking lifestyle factors to mental health, and I remain actively involved in medical education and leadership.
