Nick Hickmott is the Early Intervention Lead for We Are With You in Kent. Nick has been working within young persons’ drug services for the past 15 years and has experience in a variety of roles focussed around his passion for supporting and educating young people in regards to substances. Nick maintains a frontline role as a harm reduction worker and trainer whilst also managing the Early Intervention team who focus on delivering drug education, risk taking behaviour and harm reduction to groups of vulnerable young people. Nick draws on experience from working in residential care work and management roles within a psychodynamic community prior to working in the field of substances. He is a regular media contributor advocating on behalf of young people and offering commentary on drug trends and drug education and is currently a co-opted member of the ACMD’s Prevention Standing Committee.
