Matthew is a Psychiatrist and Academic Clinical Fellow at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience, King’s College London. His research focuses on affective disorders and the development of novel treatments in psychiatry, with a particular interest in psychedelic-assisted therapies.
Matthew is a member of the Cultural and Social Neurosciences Group (CSN) and the Psychoactive Trials Group (PTG)
His interests include the role of expectancy, suggestibility, and context in shaping subjective and therapeutic responses to psychoactive drugs. He is interested in bridging the gap from experimental medicines to clinical treatments.
