Dr Lina Gega is a Reader in Mental Health at the University of York and Hull York Medical School. Qualified both as a nurse and a psychological therapist, she completed her PhD in Health Services Research at the Institute of Psychiatry, King’s College London. Her expertise is in digital technologies, with a focus on their clinical utility as means to specialist interventions for people with mental health problems. Improving mental health and quality of life for children and young people is an important part of Lina’s current work. She is an honorary clinician in the NHS, a teacher and senior advisor for undergraduate medical students, a research supervisor for Masters and PhD students, a theatre enthusiast and proud mum of twin sons.
