James studied medicine at Brighton and Sussex Medical School where he developed a passion for psychiatry. He has worked in liaison psychiatry, acute inpatient wards, rehabilitation and in older adults psychiatry. He now works as a core trainee in liaison psychiatry at King’s College Hospital. His main interests are psychosis, with a focus on early intervention.

Open Dialogue: what’s the evidence?


Sameer Jauhar and colleagues critically assess the evidence for Open Dialogue, presented in a recent narrative review of quantitative and qualitative studies, which finds that most current studies are highly biased and of low quality, and there is an absence of clear data on effectiveness.
