Haleema Ceesay
Haleema Ceesay is a Trainee Clinical Psychologist with eight years of experience working within the NHS. Her journey into psychology began with a BSc in Psychology from Middlesex University. Recognising the importance of clinical experience, she went on to complete a Postgraduate Diploma (PGDip) in Mental Health Practice, later converting the diploma into a Master’s degree. This unique course allowed her to deepen her understanding of mental health while working directly with service users, shaping her interest in culturally sensitive and person-centred care. Haleema’s interest in delivering meaningful psychological support led her to train as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP), through a Postgraduate Certificate at University College London. She went on to become a senior PWP, where she trained and supervised both trainee and qualified PWPs.
Throughout her career, Haleema has gained a broad range of clinical experience across various settings, including forensic mental health, IAPT, drug and alcohol services, physical health psychology, and community mental health teams for both adults and young people. Her clinical and academic background reflects a commitment to inclusive, evidence-based, and compassionate care.
