I am a PhD student with the Population Health Sciences Institute at Newcastle University. I have extensive experience working with undergraduate student mental health services in Canada. I have a MSc in Global Mental Health where I focused on the influence of polygenic risk scores for metabolic factors on post-natal depression. My current PhD work explores obesity and severe mental illness, particularly the risk factors of antipsychotic-induced weight gain and how lived experience can shape prevention strategies and tools.
