Dasha Uy
Dasha is a health promotion practitioner and strong advocate for gender equality and women’s and children’s rights, with more than five years of experience in transforming complex reform into practical, equitable, and community-driven action. She has led national-scale programs for the Philippine Department of Health—including the expansion of Healthy Learning Institutions to 1,500 last-mile schools and the rollout of a nationwide competency-based training system for health promotion implementers. Her work spans gender-responsive policy development, peace and security programming for conflict-affected women and girls, and evidence-driven public health initiatives in active transport, nutrition, and adolescent health. Currently an Australia Awards scholar pursuing a Master of Health Promotion at Deakin University, Dasha brings a strong record of leadership, coalition-building, and rights-based public service across government, civil society, and academic spaces.
