Dr Amanda Bye is a Translational Research Fellow in the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience, King’s College London. She also co-leads the PPIE workstream for the King’s Maudsley Partnership. Her research focuses on youth mental health and self-harm, digital technology use, perinatal mental health and health services research. She has a keen interest in qualitative and participatory research methods.
Young people engage more with digital mental health platforms when they feel validated by peer stories, social connection and accessible design. These are the key drivers of sustained youth engagement.
