Dr Almudena Trucharte is a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellow in the School of Psychology at the University of Sheffield. Her work focuses on understanding the cognitive and emotional processes underlying psychopathology, particularly persecutory and paranoid beliefs, to inform the development of effective assessments and interventions. She completed her PhD in Clinical Psychology at the Complutense University of Madrid, where she received an Extraordinary Doctorate Award for her thesis on mechanisms involved in persecutory delusions. Her research spans experimental and clinical studies, contributes to international longitudinal projects, and has resulted in numerous peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations. Dr Trucharte has also worked on positive psychological interventions and electrophysiological methods in clinical contexts.
